Villa Lombardia

The view and location are beautiful, but that’s about all we liked. The grounds are neglected, with weeds and overgrown grass. The listing is accurate about what’s inside, but everything is old and dirty. The washing machine costs extra to use, and the old kitchen is partly broken. The rooms were dirty, every fly screen was broken, and the bathroom was dirty with mold along the shower edges. The description also leaves out that the driveway is only 2m wide. The final stretch, on the property, is badly overgrown and full of potholes. When we raised the defects with the owner, our concerns were ignored.

We had a very pleasant stay at Lake Iseo. The house had what we needed for everyday life, and the new beds made for a good night’s sleep. Parking on the property was easy and there was enough space. The road is a little narrow, though a regular-sized car can get through without trouble. We especially enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrace. A good place for a relaxing holiday at Lake Iseo.

The place is just as pictured, and it’s been a great stay for me each year I’ve come to Villa Lombardia over the past three years. Last year they renovated the kitchen, living room, and bedroom, giving them a very modern look. Everything is impeccably clean, and I love returning with my family. It’s a top-notch place for a great price.

The view is lovely, and we liked the terrace, though the bypass made it a little noisy. Inside, there were traces of previous guests everywhere, including hair. We had to clean the house and cupboards, wash the mattress covers, and degrease the dishes ourselves. The landlord was there but offered no help. Most of the furnishings are old and worn, while the newer pieces are tasteless. We removed mold from the shower, and the wall behind the wardrobe in the children's room was moldy. The apartment and garden felt neglected, and the whole house needs renovating. We were fortunate to spend all day outside. It gave us the impression that someone was trying to make quick money without putting in effort. Poor value for the price, especially since there are much better places by the lake for just a little more.
