Antica Casa Fenaroli

Absolutely loved it, fantastic!

Magnificent location.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the house itself was fine. I liked the kitchen, though given the house is older I would have preferred a gas oven to the electric one. The faucets also need some attention. There were problems all over the place. The jacuzzi tub was dirty and didn't work, the bidet was narrow and worn, and there was just one roll of toilet paper and not even two bidet towels. The bathroom and bedroom were very poorly lit. The bed's headboard was detached, the pillows were flat, and the blanket wasn't covered. There was no closet. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, with cobwebs everywhere, oily cutlery in the kitchen, and a visibly dirty used sponge for washing up. There was no coffee maker or salt, pepper, or sugar in the kitchen, things I've always found in other apartments. The lake view was more like a view of the parking lot. The place could use more light, repairs, extra pillows if the ones there are flat, and better cleaning. A second toilet roll, salt, pepper, coffee for the moka pot, a clock, and a cabinet for clothes would help, and the bathroom needs cleaning.

Matteo was lovely from my first call about availability. He patiently talked me through everything and sent videos on WhatsApp that made arrival, parking, and getting into the apartment easy. He was on hand during our stay for advice and anything we needed, including a recommendation for a delicious breakfast at Pasticceria Lilla. He was so sweet and affectionate when we left. Antica Casa Fenaroli has a beautiful antique feel and a view of the lake. There’s ample parking, and it’s peaceful because it sits the right distance from the main road. Inside, every detail is carefully looked after, with refined taste, graceful touches, and harmonious colors. It felt like being on holiday in a place from the past, but styled so thoughtfully. The rooms are bright, spacious, and clean, and the mattress was so comfortable I slept seven hours straight! Andrea and I hated leaving. We’d love to have a place like it and live there forever. We’ll be back, and we’ll gladly share our enthusiasm for Antica Casa Fenaroli with everyone we tell about our Lake Iseo trip.
