Hotel Saraceno

I was offered a complimentary upgrade to a sea view room after asking, even though I'd booked a standard room. The view was breathtaking and gave the stay a special touch. My room was beautifully furnished, spotless, and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I felt genuinely welcome throughout my wonderful stay at the hotel on Isola del Giglio. Wholeheartedly recommend it.

The only real downside was a confusing exchange about laundry. We asked the hotel staff if they did laundry and were told, “yes, just leave it on the bed,” so we assumed it was included. We left a tip for the cleaning lady before departing, but when returning the keys, we learned we owed 80€ for the laundry. Nobody had mentioned a charge, and 80€ felt ridiculously high. The staff reduced it to €50, which we appreciated. In future, a laundry list with prices in each room would help guests know the cost per item. Otherwise, we had a lovely time. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the port and city center, and our room had everything we needed. It was only a few steps from the restaurant, where we had breakfast every morning. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, and the food and coffee choices were great. We didn't have lunch or dinner there. I wanted to give the hotel five stars.

The location is magic at this lovely traditional family-run hotel. Giovanna and Chiara were always helpful and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

Great value and a great location. Everything was great overall, though the a/c could have been a bit stronger.
