Bilha Hotel

I was there for work and found the rooms comfortable and well kept. Mine had a nice bathroom, small terrace, air conditioning and a fridge. Everyone on the staff, from housekeeping to reception, was friendly. The property is around 600 meters from the center of Le Castella, and it's always nice to make the walk. Highly recommend it.

Angela at the front desk deserves a special mention for always being available and so professional. Mr. Francesco in the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is excellent. The pool at Hotel Il Corsaro is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Carla, her daughter and Ilaria were superb, always trying to sort out even the smallest problems. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are very helpful. A little more contact with the tourist board about local activities and events would help, and the shuttle schedule is too limited. We'll gladly come back.

The one real plus is that it's close to the sea. The room was poorly cleaned, and there was dust and rust on the towel warmer. I also found hair on the towels, maybe from other guests, so staff should be more careful with cleaning. Breakfast didn't feel like 4-star quality, and for what I paid I wanted more choice. We asked if we could pay the next day before leaving the room. The morning receptionist said yes, then the evening one said no. Which is it? We also asked if they could heat water to make breast milk for our baby. The reply was, "Yes, even though we're on our dinner break at that time!" What kind of answer is that? When we left this morning, nobody even said goodbye or thanked us for staying. They only said it after we said goodbye first. Honestly, I'm disappointed. If you don't want to work, make room for people who do and who are friendly and empathetic.

The morning receptionist was very rude, didn't even greet us, and wanted us to pay the night before we left. Maybe she thought we'd run away. We found mold in the shower, a hair-drying showerhead, a dated room and dead animals in the fridge, which didn't work properly. Breakfast was poor for a 4-star hotel, and payment was required the night before departure. On the plus side, there was parking in front, a large balcony with a drying rack, a quiet spot close to the center, and new split air conditioning. The shuttle made getting to the sea easier, and guests could use the pool and restaurant at Hotel il Corsaro. We were about 600 meters from the sea, a 7-minute walk, and the hotel is connected to the main Hotel il Corsaro a few meters away, where the pool and restaurant are. The manager was very kind when we arrived and gave us useful directions to the sea, including the shuttle option, and explained how to use the main hotel's restaurant. Still, the hotel is dated and needs renovation, especially the rooms.
