The village and location were great, with the castle, beach, and village all a short walk away. We also had plenty of room to park our bicycles. We stayed one night in a comfortable ground floor triple room at the back by the garden, and the bathroom was good. Breakfast was a letdown. We got there shortly after 8 and things seemed disorganized: half the food wasn’t out, and other guests were asking what was available. The cake they brought out was frozen solid and impossible to cut. Freshly heated croissants arrived around 8:30 and saved the morning.

As a travel agent, I see plenty of hotels, and the warmth of this family really stood out. Their rooms were spotless, the breakfast was great, and I felt comfortable the whole time. They cleaned the room thoroughly, changed the linens often, and handled the towel changes perfectly. The restaurant is also easy to recommend. The city and beach are both close by.

We had a lovely one-night stay. The landlord was friendly and very helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant tip was spot on. Many thanks, and all the best to you and your family.

The garden and setting make for a quiet, relaxing break, and the pizza is really good. The staff are very nice too. I’d recommend this place.

It wasn’t the best, but it was manageable.
