Villa Orchidea

We had a generous breakfast, with the sweet owner making it herself. Her excellent tart and fluffy croissants were a treat, and I'd love to come back and chat with these lovely people again. The villa is beautiful and cared for down to the smallest detail, and everything was super clean. The owner and her assistant gave us a warm welcome. We enjoyed the immaculate outdoor pool, surrounded by trees. Our room was large and well kept, with a spacious walk-in closet and a huge bathroom with a large shower and whirlpool tub.

The generous breakfasts had plenty of variety, and our rooms were cleaned and the linens changed during the week. We had a very pleasant family stay at Villa Orchidea, with excellent value for money. Carmela welcomed us so warmly. Our apartments were spacious and clean, each with a kitchen and air conditioning in the bedroom. From our balcony we had a lovely view, and there was a big swimming pool surrounded by lush greenery. Carmela's husband cleaned it every morning. I highly recommend the place!

The location is a great base for visiting the area's loveliest beaches and towns. After exploring, the well-kept pool and garden were perfect for relaxing. I stayed for three days and felt right at home. Mrs. Carmela is genuinely kind and helpful, and clearly puts a lot of passion into her work. Her homemade breakfasts are top-notch. I'd recommend this quiet spot away from the main tourist routes.

The villa has just a few apartments, all comfortable, well furnished, and equipped; the rooms are new and spotless, and there's a convenient pool in the garden. Breakfast was hearty, with excellent baked goods and Carmela's wonderful homemade cakes. The apple cake was a real winner. Parking right in front is free, and the prices are more than reasonable for what you get. The setting is quiet but handy for getting to the beautiful sea at Ispica, the Vendicari nature reserve, and local sights. We visited the Baroque architecture in Noto and Scicli, the old fishing village of Marzamemi, and Ispica's center, where the cathedral and Loggiato del Sinatra are beautiful. It was a positive experience in just about every way.
