Hotel Arena

Hotel veramente consigliatissimo. Ma soprattutto lo staff e di un livello mai visto. Siete grandi! The facilities and service impressed me, especially for the price, and I don’t feel a need to look elsewhere. There are other hotels, of course, but the people here are what make the stay special. They’re incredibly cheerful, friendly, and helpful.

We stayed five days, and the good things people say online match what we found. The hotel looks modern and new, it’s very clean, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough. In the evening, we liked sitting on the terrace out front. Drinks were affordable, and the bartender was friendly and made great cocktails. The hotel is at the end of the street that leads to the beach, so you get a sea view. It’s only a two- or three-minute walk to the beach.

It’s about a minute’s walk to the seaside, and shops and places to eat are close by. The hotel sits toward the end of Jesolo’s walking street, which was fine because it’s less crowded there. The hotel was nice and clean, with really pleasant staff and a good breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the shower cabin was big enough. The air conditioning was ice cold, though the lift was really small. See you next year!

Our holiday ended two days early, and we left feeling awful. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families with children. It didn’t feel baby friendly at all. The receptionist told us there was a big problem because eating in the room wasn’t allowed. We have a one-year-old who needs to eat his own food five times a day, and they restricted that. After the maid complained that cleaning our room took extra effort, because she had to change the bed sheet and empty a full bin, we were charged another €10 for extra cleaning. I’d understand if we’d broken something, but this was over a sheet change. The room cleaning was poor anyway: the beach sand stayed on the floor from our first day to our last, and it wasn’t cleaned even once. We also noticed them checking other rooms, so it seems we weren’t the only ones, and there was no privacy in the room. The food was bad. Breakfast was the same every day: a croissant or baguette, one kind of cheese, one kind of ham, some cornflakes, and no vegetables. I couldn’t see what there was for my child to eat. Dinner was a little better, but not great. Once, we waited almost half an hour for the second course, which never came, so we left after the first course with our one-year-old. I’m giving two stars because the hotel had been renovated and the staff tried to be nice to us, though after what happened they didn’t seem honest.
