Hotel Trento

The restaurant was a huge disappointment. The mixed seafood was awful tasting and came without any sauce, but the beef was even worse. I ordered it well done and it arrived very pink. It was so bad they’d covered it in cream to hide the taste.

The prices for pizza and noodles were reasonable, and the food was reasonable too. What stood out was the tiramisu, one plate is plenty for two to share. We also got lucky with a waiter who had a nice chat with us and told us a lot about Venice, our next destination, where he had studied.

The bottled water was the best part of lunch, which says it all. We ordered grilled meat and fish platters. Some of the fish was undercooked, while other pieces were so overcooked they couldn’t be eaten. The meat tasted strange, like it hadn’t been refrigerated properly. The rib seemed at least three days old and reheated at least as many times. Quite possibly the worst meal we’ve ever had.

The cakes are homemade and really tasty, and the food is delicious without costing too much. It can get crowded, so you might have to wait about five minutes for a table.
