We booked on Check24, but the room we got looked nothing like its description or photos. It was much smaller than stated, so we paid expecting more space and ended up in a tiny room. The bathroom felt extremely dated, almost medieval. The shower sits between the sink and toilet, and using it floods the whole floor. It was uncomfortable and hardly modern. When we asked whether this was really the room we had booked, we were told that “Check24 books hotels through Expedia,” so that was why we got worse rooms. That’s unacceptable. The standard should match what we booked, whatever platform we used. Parking was also supposed to be included, yet we had to park 15 minutes away. That was really inconvenient and annoying. We’re very disappointed and can’t recommend the hotel. What a shame.

The location is undeniably good, and the front desk woman was friendly and did her best when we raised our concerns. But this was a very disappointing stay. The hotel felt extremely old and in need of renovation, and our room looked nothing like the internet photos we had booked from. We felt misled. The only alternative reception offered was another room for €400 more for three nights, which we found unacceptable after already paying a high price. The sink drain was clogged too. The beach arrangement added to our frustration. Our umbrella was about 70 meters from the sea, and getting a spot closer to the water meant paying a significant extra fee each day. We’d hoped for a relaxing holiday, but the experience fell far short. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We had a wonderful holiday, and the hotel is right on the beach. Our small, nice room had a balcony and a lovely sea view. The food was very tasty, mostly classic Italian dishes. Staff were helpful and spoke German and English, and there’s a hotel bar downstairs with friendly people serving. Lots of restaurants, bars, stalls, and shops are nearby. We’re very satisfied, thanks for a great stay.

The beach view is the best ❤️. The hotel is right on the shore, with really friendly staff and delicious food. Our room was clean, spacious, and cosy. The city center, shops, and food street are only a few minutes’ walk away. August was a great time to come, though we have three more days here. ✌️ #borntofightacademybraunau We’ll be back!! 👍
