Hotel Negresco

We stayed in mid-June with our two small children, and left a day early because the mattress and pillows were incredibly hard and gave us headaches, back pain, and neck pain. The price for the whole holiday was extremely high, and water cost extra, €3.50 for 0.75 liters. We also felt Italians and foreigners were treated differently. We definitely won't return and don't recommend it. Our reservation described a superior room, but what we got was anything but. It was much smaller than described, with a tiny balcony where only someone at least 1.80 m tall could see beyond. The bathroom had no window or exhaust fan, and the bidet pulled out from under the sink with a super-loud flush. Breakfast was the same every day, though the staff were friendly. The hotel's location by the sea was excellent. The pool was unusable because it was crowded at all hours, and the entertainment was awful: there was only one young girl in charge, absent one day, and no entertainment that day.

The location and services are truly excellent, and kindness and helpfulness are the norm here. The room furnishings aren't brand new, but everything is super clean. Dogs are welcome to relax on the poolside loungers and lawn, and they can have breakfast with you.

We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We'll definitely return. We were at Hotel Negresco for the first time. It's set in a pine forest right by the sea, with a private beach and plenty of monitored parking. The manageable beach was very clean, with lots of loungers. There was also a large garden with a neatly kept lawn, a bar, and two pools, one for children and one large pool with a diving board. There were plenty of places to lounge and relax. The hotel's interior was very well maintained, and the bar had lots of seating. Our barmaid, Marissa, was friendly and attentive every time. She remembered our habits and even made sure our little daughter got what she wanted. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and spacious. They were thoroughly cleaned in the morning, and the beds were made again in the afternoon. Every room has a balcony with a partial sea view, plus armchairs and a place to hang wet bathing suits. The food was very good at every meal. Breakfast had everything we wanted, lunch offered a very good buffet of hot and cold dishes, and dinner was a served menu with a sufficient selection. The desserts were delicious. The waiters were friendly, and receptionists attentive and helpful with any question or concern. Bicycles are available to rent in very good condition, and Jesolo has a good network of cycle paths. Childcare is also available.

The sea was close, and the pools were very nice. I was there with my wife and three girls, ages 5, 1, and 0. The first room we were assigned was old and inadequate. We asked to move, and the second room was perfect. The food was good, but dinner options were limited and service was very slow, especially for the children. The staff were few and undertrained, though friendly, patient, and helpful. There's a children's play area in the basement, but we only found out about it by chance while talking with other guests. The quality for the price was too high.
