Hotel Vina del Mar Pineta

The best thing here is the location, right on the beach with sunbeds included. There’s also a pleasant garden and pool. The family rooms are rather small and have no balcony, which is frustrating when you come back from the beach with wet towels or swimsuits and nowhere to hang them. We had two rainy days, so some meals were served indoors in a rather old-fashioned room. There was supposed to be entertainment for the kids, but it was poorly organized while we were there, except for one evening with a magic show. My child was disappointed. The entertainer focused on the German-speaking children, who made up 99% of those there, and my child was left out. We had breakfast included and paid once for dinner, 25 euros for an adult and 15 for a child, drinks not included. The buffet was okay, with some cold starters, one pasta, risotto, and a choice of three mains that were given in advance. But dinner was only available for an hour from 7:30 pm, and it felt like they were rushing us and taking plates away. The pizza and gnocchi were terrible, so we didn’t go back for another dinner and chose other places nearby. Breakfast was okay too, but not great quality, with few vegetables and dry cucumbers. For 300 euros a night at the end of August or in September for bed and breakfast, I’d call the stay okay, but closer to three stars than four.

The strand is right in the backyard, with pools as well. The staff, including the owner, were extremely kind and helpful, and the kids had an amazing time. The parents did too, and we’ll definitely come back next year. Thanks! The family rooms aren’t large and have no balconies, but they’re nicely done and the AC works very well.

A lovely modernized hotel with beach access just across the way. Great for a family stay with kids, since they have entertainment for children.

It’s in a nice location and the staff are friendly, though the rooms feel a little old.
