The location and breakfast were the only good parts of our three-day stay. For the price and quality, this was the worst hotel ever. My spouse and I travel a lot and have stayed in many places around the world, and I can’t recommend this one to anyone. There were problems from the start. A staff member, a little man, was very rude when we arrived, looked at us and said, “It’s about money, so go find some other hotel.” The room was modest, and the doors and walls were so thin that we couldn’t get a peaceful minute. The cleaning lady started hoovering at 8:00 am. We got two little shampoo bottles, but one was half empty, and we couldn’t get more. The shower took ten minutes in the cold before the water warmed up. Some things in the room were broken or out of order, including the sockets, which were dangerous. The balcony door didn’t work properly, and the window shield was half broken. The information said checkout was at 10 am, but on our departure morning the cleaning lady told us we had to leave by 9:30 because someone else was coming into the room at 10. Nobody at reception had mentioned that when we arrived. A good hotel if you like horror films or horror holidays.

The location is great, but the rest was a mess. We stayed over the weekend of August 31 and September 1. The hotel has no reception, so you go next door to Hotel London for services, including breakfast, and that part was fine. The building felt run-down and old, and our room wasn’t suitable. TV and Wi-Fi were among the amenities included in the price, but the TV was missing and the Wi-Fi was switched off. The password they handed us at check-in was very helpful, of course. We complained several times about the missing TV because it matters to us. They said, “Unfortunately, it’s broken; it’s being serviced.” At checkout we pointed out that we wouldn’t have booked if we’d known, and all we got was “Sorry!” They just got away with it. As far as I’m concerned, the place should be demolished. It’s a shame given the location. It’s not even worth €20. One star is really generous.

The food was a real weakness. My son stayed at Hotel Tritone and complained several times that he was given just twenty-three pieces of pasta. He also asked more than once for larger portions, considering the children’s ages, but nothing changed. The rooms are what they are, very gloomy. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels on our travels, and I hate leaving a negative review. I hope they improve, for their sake.
