Hotel Maremonti

The sea is close by and visible from almost every part of the hotel. It's a lovely, peaceful place, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The train station is only a short walk away, and restaurants nearby serve delicious Italian food just a few minutes from the hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I had room no. 5 in the highest of the hotel's four buildings, and the balcony had a beautiful view of the Stromboli volcano. It's a quiet, lovely place to relax, with friendly service and plenty of space.

The train station is very close, making it easy to get to places like Tropea, Nicotera, Capo Vaticano, Groticelle, and Pizzo, all with clean beaches. We stayed for seven days at Monte Mare, alongside couples and families with children enjoying the playground and pool. The quiet area also has a small barbecue, and the hotel is full of fruit trees from around the world and exotic plants, with views of the sea and mountains. The owners were helpful with questions and concerns, as was Lucretia, who works there. Lucretia was always available, checking whether guests needed anything and chatting with everyone. Local and Mediterranean dishes are easy to find at nearby restaurants and pizzerias.

Our room was spacious, with a patio where we could enjoy evenings in the cool, peaceful air. Lucrezia takes meticulous care of the rooms and their cleanliness, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The hotel sits in a lovely, well-kept, clean garden with a nice pool and a barbecue for a quick cookout. The road there isn't great, and the rocky seafront isn't very accessible. Still, I'd recommend it for a relaxing stay. There are a few nearby restaurants where you can eat really well for an affordable price.
