Hotel Nido D'Aquila

We spent 6 nights here. The staff were truly delightful and helpful, and the location is just outside town but very walkable. There’s sea nearby for swimming and good restaurants close by, and the room was very comfortable.

In mid June 2023, we were holidaying in North East Sardinia from the U.K. and stayed two nights at this lovely 3 star hotel on the Island of Maddalenna. It’s a 15 minute ferry ride from Palau on the mainland, and the hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the ferry dock. There’s a car park by the hotel. Deborah welcomed us and handled check-in warmly and professionally. Our room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, with a pleasant balcony looking out to sea. Nicole was on reception in the evening and helpfully answered our questions about breakfast and checkout. Breakfast had a lovely variety, and checkout went smoothly. It’s a tranquil spot right by the sea. I recommend staying here.

The location is fantastic, and the staff are the highlight. But the air conditioning is really noisy, you can hear people next door shaving and doing other things, and the bar drinks are horrid. Frankly, I won’t stay here again.

We were very pleased with the service during our two-night stay. Special thanks to the friendly people at reception.
