Hotel Formula

My Beloved and I have come back every two years for a three-day room rental, and we’ve always loved this place. The staff are so friendly and have taken care of our needs and little requests. The rooms feel a bit small, but that size worked just fine for us. Breakfast was included, so we could head to the beach with full stomachs and stay satisfied until lunch. I’d recommend the Hotel. I still haven’t tried the Spa offer, but it’s a big wish on my calendar for whenever I get the chance. I’ve already marked it, hoping for another precious stay.

The hotel itself seemed basic but clean enough, and breakfast was simple yet pleasant with a decent selection. But if you care about your health, do not use or book the Spa facilities. They were filthy, with black mold all over, and even pink, slimy mold in the warm plunge pool. That’s a warm, damp place where bacteria can grow, which seems like a health hazard. The restaurant was another problem. My phone wouldn’t load the QR-code menu, and there was no printed menu to choose from. We were handed some kind of printed document the chef had given the hotel director showing possible dishes. When we ordered two different pasta dishes from it, we were told it would be better if we both got spaghetti carbonara. So the chef was telling us what to eat to make things easier for him. When we complained about the lack of a printed menu, we were told “every restaurant in the world” uses QR-code menus now. Also, don’t be fooled by the staff seeming nice. They’ve been very well trained to act falsely polite.

Never again. This was the worst hotel we’ve ever slept in. The rooms were dirty, with spiders in every corner and hairs on the bed, and even the lamps weren’t fitted properly. The woman at reception was actually the chef but wouldn’t admit it, perhaps because the whole place was such a disaster. The staff were very friendly, but breakfast was disappointing: the eggs were the cheapest kind, the bread was stale, and even the coffee was bad.

A decent place to stay in the area, though be prepared for bunk beds in the rooms for three or four people. The pizza was poor, while the meat and seafood were good. You can smell the swimming pool in the corridors.
