I spent two nights here in my van as a woman travelling alone, and felt very safe. We were just two vans on the first night, then four more vans or caravans arrived for the weekend. The facilities are basic but worked fine, and everyone was very friendly. It’s a great base for exploring by bike or on foot. I barely noticed the national road at night. Having access to the pool was a real plus. It was quiet and affordable, and I’d happily return if I’m in the area. I arrived without a reservation, was made to feel welcome, and had no problems.

Francesca was the highlight for us. She led the wine and Barolo tasting and knows the wines inside out. Such a lovely person, too. The place is perfectly central, and everyone was so caring and welcoming. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. Ann & Guy

We’ve been here three times over about 15 years, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The rooms have all been upgraded in recent years. We enjoy the relaxed, interesting wine tasting, and it’s easy to chat with the other guests and share a few wines. Glad to hear they still ship anywhere.

We spent two nights at the campsite in mid-June. Breakfast had a good enough range of local food, and the buffet staff were kind and helpful. For lunch or dinner, you can order pizza delivery or eat in town, since the campsite only serves cold options like traditional cheese and ham. Those were still delicious. The pool is beautiful and relaxing, though it costs extra. There’s just one old toilet and shower for women and men. Getting around is a bigger drawback: there are no taxi drivers in Barolo, so a ride to town can cost €70. A bike might be a better choice. The prices felt too high for the services provided to campers, but we still had a very enjoyable stay with all the wine and traditional food from Piemonte.

The owners and staff were so kind, and we really enjoyed tasting the wine they make themselves. We stumbled on this place and had a great time staying with our car and tent. The campsite has only just opened, so there are still things to develop, but what’s there is enough for now: electricity and one bathroom with a toilet and shower. You can pay a little extra for breakfast at the B&B and use of the pool. The place is beautiful and makes a good base for exploring the rest of this lovely region. We’d definitely recommend it.
