The welcome was a real bright spot. The staff member who greeted us was warm and genuine, and the same charming young man served us at breakfast. Dinner was in a lovely setting, though the meal was just fine, nothing special for the price. I also didn't like that the waiter preferred to choose our wine instead of giving us the wine list. We went along without making a scene, but I expect the wine he picked was among the more expensive options. Breakfast was only okay too, especially for a renowned food region. Other places we’ve stayed nearby do it better. The suite was one of the worst rooms we've had at this price. The downstairs room looked straight onto the swimming pool, probably only 2m away, and felt like a fish bowl. We couldn't open the curtains without losing all privacy, so they stayed closed, as they were when we arrived. There was a sofa downstairs, but the TV was upstairs, so you could only watch it from bed. The TV also didn't work, perhaps because the remote batteries were flat. The shower design let water flood the floor. The rain shower was awkwardly arranged, and getting into the bath would be nearly impossible for an older person unless they were a mountain climber. For an architect designed room, it missed the mark. The room needs screening from the pool. The other problems would be easier to fix. All in all, our stay just passed.

Palas Cerequio was far beyond what I expected. The modern, peaceful room was thoughtfully set up for rest, but the views were the real standout. The Barolo hills spread out like a painting from sunrise to sunset. My wife and I shared wine on our private terrace as the sun went down behind the vines, and it felt perfect. The place has a way of helping you reconnect with yourself and the people you care about. The restaurant opens early, even before sunrise, which works well if you're heading out for a vineyard hike. The menu is full, refined, and has carefully chosen local options. The staff were kind, respectful, and attentive, always trying to make the stay better with that unmistakable Italian attenzione that makes service feel personal. Surrounded by captivating vineyards, this feels like a pause in time and a breath of calm. If you're exploring the Barolo wine region, it's a wonderful base, whether you're after a romantic escape, a closer look at wine culture, or a high-end stay with authentic warmth. I'd return without hesitation.

The room was spectacular, and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious too, with shaved truffles on the eggs. Dinner at the resort was very average in taste, which is why I gave the stay 4 overall.

We’ve been coming for years, and it keeps getting better. The SkyBar now has an amazing menu, and the pool, rooms, and owners are all perfect. This place used to be a big secret, but now everyone knows how amazing it is. It’s hard to leave this beautiful spot. Book ahead and enjoy this piece of heaven.

La Corte serves exquisite food, and the SkyBar has a beautiful view along with a delicious menu. The service from the friendly, dedicated team is fantastic. They have an exceptional selection of wines, including plenty from outside Piedmont. A great place to unwind for a day or a week.
