The building was lovely and the terrace was relaxing, but we wouldn't recommend staying here. When we arrived, the room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. We called, left our luggage, and went to see the city. On our return, only one bed had been made. We were two siblings and had booked a room with two beds, but didn't get sheets for the second bed until our second night. The internet didn't work until late on day two, despite several calls. We needed it to arrange the next part of our trip. There were two lovely cups for coffee or tea, but no bathroom glasses or hand soap. Every other hotel or B&B we stayed in had those. The long flight of steps into town was exhausting in the July heat. On our last day, we tried to get a taxi so we wouldn't have to bump our luggage down the 150 steps, which we counted, but the taxi service hung up when we didn't speak Italian. We stayed here in early July 2022.

The listing mentioned family rooms and a baby crib, but after I'd booked and paid, they told me cribs weren't available. Getting to the apartment meant climbing a lot of stairs with a baby and stroller. When I asked if I could cancel and get a refund, the owner called me rude.

We had no codes in advance, couldn't get anyone to answer the phone, and waited two hours before someone let us in. Inside, water from a broken AC had pooled on the floor, and the person with me nearly slipped. When we reported it, the man on the phone wasn't sure anyone could clean it up. We'd booked two beds, but one had no pillow or sheets; he didn't seem to care and said we could share the double bed. The place was hard to find too, with no street signs. $130 a night for service like this was unacceptable.

Getting there takes some effort because there are lots of stairs, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a good night's sleep, apart from a sea bird singing all night. There was a kettle, cups, instant coffee and tea, plus towels and shampoo. We stayed one night and thought it was worth the price.

The garden and terrace were lovely, and the city was only a few hundred meters away. Our two-night stay was good overall. The place was clean, had good AC, and the interior looked pretty, though its quality felt poor by Swiss standards. There was enough space and it was mostly equipped, but the kitchen had only two cups and spoons, and there was no parking. Finding the entrance took a little effort because house number 48 appears twice. Once we received both passcodes, we could get through the main door and into our room.
