Gli amici di Carla

We had a great room, and the view from our terrace was beyond incredible. Breakfast each morning was lovely, with Alessandra showing us the things she'd made herself at home. She was an excellent host, full of helpful suggestions for La Spezia and the Cinque Terre region. We'll absolutely be back to Gli Amici di Carla.

Alessandra is a wonderful hostess who really cares about her guests and has good suggestions for things to see nearby. The hotel sits above La Spezia, with lovely views of the city and mountains. Breakfast was enough for us and included plenty of home-baked things. We checked out early one morning and were given goodies to take for the trip. To get down to town, you can walk, take a taxi, or catch a bus. We mostly used line 13, which stops outside the hotel. A taxi from the train station costs around €12-13. Along with the restaurant tips from the hotel, I'd recommend Sempre Amighi for its very good fish dishes at a good price.

We really felt at home at Alessandra's place. She was a fantastic host and gave us lots of useful information for exploring Cinque Terre. The accommodation is lovely, with a great view over La Spezia. Breakfast was outstanding, with lots of homemade food and a very good variety. If you enjoy nature, great food, a nice panorama, and a great host, I'd strongly recommend staying here. Just be ready for a few stairs.

Alessandra's beautiful B&B is a great base for a day trip to Cinque Terre. La Spezia central station is a 20-minute walk away, and there's convenient public parking right in front. We had a perfect two-night stay, and Alessandra was a very friendly, helpful host. Thank you!
