La Casa was a lovely place to stay, with friendly and accommodating owners and staff. It’s very affordable and ideally located, close to the station and within walking distance of the centre.

The location makes it easy to go out for food or shopping in the city centre, and it’s close to the station for Cinque Terre. On my February 2025 return, I spent two excellent nights in Tiago’s room with my partner. I got the access details the day before, booked through their website and found it great value. The service was excellent again, just as I’d said before. On my earlier stay, I arrived in La Spezia at 9AM. Manuelle and Chira were at the apartment that morning, so I could leave my backpack there before taking a day trip to Portovenere. I’d been contacted ahead of time with access instructions and could ask about storing my luggage. The room was clean, matched the pictures and was warm, which isn’t always the case in southern European apartments. I had a positive experience and nothing to complain about. Being right next to the station didn’t bother me noise-wise. You might hear trains, but it wasn’t an issue for me, and the spot is fantastic for travellers who want to avoid carrying luggage far and catch an easy train to Cinque Terre. They were friendly and kind, and asked if I wanted recommendations for the city or Cinque Terre. If your feet get cold, bring wool socks or slippers. The floor was a bit chilly, and I’ve needed them in all the hotels and apartments I’ve stayed in southern Europe. I booked directly through their website. Thanks for a great stay!

The property is nicely renovated, with a well furnished, clean room, a comfortable mattress, a fridge, kettle and toiletries. We had a nice breakfast and were warmly welcomed by amazing hosts. It’s in a superb spot, steps from the train station and right at the start of the pedestrian street. Before planning your Cinque Terre trip, ask Manuel. He’s from Riomaggiore and knows Cinque Terre well. We’d happily book here again and strongly recommend it. Grazie Mille.

The owner’s hospitality made the stay special. Every morning she was there with thoughtful, detailed itinerary ideas, and she was kind, informative and cheerful. You could tell she cared about the guest experience. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with beautiful design details that showed how much care had gone into it. None of the other hotels I stayed at in Italy could beat this place. It was an exceptional stay, and I’ll definitely come back one day, gracias!

There were a few things that made the stay less comfortable. The elevator couldn’t be used, so we had to carry our luggage up two floors ourselves. Several fire alarm-like sounds woke us in the middle of the night, and the soundproofing wasn’t great because I could hear other guests’ TV. The main light kept flickering, so we stopped using it. I hope they’ve fixed it by now. Checkout at 10am felt a bit too early. On the plus side, we could leave our luggage after checkout and pick it up anytime. It’s close to the train station, the bed was comfortable, and the staff member was friendly, though we only saw her at checkout.
