So far, this has been the best place we’ve stayed. The owner was lovely, easy to reach by mobile at any time, and really helpful with places to visit. The location was great too. One downside for light sleepers: traffic starts early, and the upstairs toilet makes noise.

Customer service was poor, and we never got our reimbursement.

The host, Mr. Gianpaolo, went out of his way to help us throughout our stay. He was friendly, always ready with practical advice, and even opened his office on our last day so we could leave our suitcases there before our late evening flight. He came in personally on Saturday to take care of it. He also found connections to Porto Venere, called to check whether the ships were running that day, and sent us the timetable. We’ve never had a host show us this much care and dedication. The apartment made us feel at home, with plenty of space, a separate kitchen, a dining area, a comfortable bedroom, and a well-equipped bathroom. Our time in La Spezia was exceptional and unforgettable. Fantastic apartment and host. I highly recommend it!
