Sergio was AMAZING, with great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit, and all the staff treated us so well. The town is cute, the property is well kept and super clean, and it's an easy walk to the city centre. The rooms are a bit small but worked for our family of four, and they brought us a baby crib, which was great. There are lots of stairs: the property is on the third floor, and you have to carry bags up the first flight. A very small elevator starts on the first floor, not ground level, and our Bugaboo Cameleon stroller couldn't fit because its tires were too wide. It might only fit one person with one bag at a time. There's no pool, balcony, or breakfast, though there's a great cafe nearby. One big heads-up: you can't park within 200 meters to unload. You'll get ticketed electronically and the bill comes by mail about five months later. We got around ten tickets before someone told us. Parking is VERY hard, and you'll need to park far away. Despite all that, we enjoyed the stay and would return. It's a kid- and family-friendly resort.

Sergio was warm and hospitable, easy to reach, and always ready to answer our questions. His suggestions for activities, food, and places to see were spot on. Magda from the staff was kind and helpful too, and I especially appreciated being able to store our luggage. The room had a lovely vintage feel, with very nice facilities, and was spacious, comfortable, and sparkling clean. The location is central, in a nice neighborhood with lots of good restaurants, close to the sea and several bus stops. It felt like staying in a hotel.

The signage isn't very noticeable, so it took us a little while to find the accommodation. You also have to carry your bags up the first flight of stairs, and the rooms are on the third floor. Once there, though, it's a great place to stay in La Spezia. The bus stops right at the doorstep, the boats are a short walk away, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Nothing awful, but nothing special. The mattresses are much too soft, and there are hardly any hangers in the bathroom. The water was mostly extremely hot, though now and then I could get it to run cold.

The host was friendly and helpful, and the rooms have new furniture with everything you need. The location is very good, right in the centre, about 15 from the train station and five minutes from the port. A lovely stay.
