Pietra Di Mare Guest House

The village has narrow footpaths apart from the road for cars, so be ready to walk. They're lovely for a stroll after a good meal. Our stay was a really good experience: the rooms were clean and nice, with an incredible view, and the owners were so friendly. The owner took time to tell us about the history of the town and its surroundings, something you don't always find at other places.

At first I wasn't pleased that this B&B was away from the city, but Andrea reassured me we'd still be able to reach the tourist attractions easily. She introduced us to Gloria at the tobacco shop, where we bought bus and train tickets for Cinque Terra. Gloria gave us helpful directions and makes the best cappuccino. She also told us about a hidden gem, Porto venere, that wasn't on our itinerary. Andrea even had her husband drive us to the train station so we wouldn't miss our train to Rome. My wife and I stayed here while vacationing near Cinque Terre, and the breathtaking scenery makes this a great place if you like nature and hiking. Highly recommend.

We liked how small Pietra di Mare is, with just a few rooms, so it never feels crowded. It's dog friendly, which is essential for us 👫🐕. Andrea was friendly and helpful, sending directions via WhatsApp since the place is a little remote. The only restaurant in town is fantastic, 10/10. Parking can be tricky, and there are quite a few stairs from the street parking up to the hostel. At night we saw a family of boar outside 🐗🐗🐗😲.

We spent Easter here with the family and loved every moment. The place is beautiful and quiet, with trails just a few minutes away, and Andrea was so kind and helpful. We took a boat to Manarola and Riomaggiore, the train to La Spezia, and drove to Monterosso. There's so much to see that one week wasn't enough. We're truly grateful for this gorgeous stay and have to come back soon 💝
