Rifugio Lilla

I had a magical ski trip here in March and really hope to come back. The hospitality was excellent, and dinner here is especially worth experiencing. Everything felt carefully thought through and prepared. Wilma the dog was particularly charming!

The breakfast was a treat, with a good range of choices, and the rooms were spacious, spotless and tastefully furnished after their recent renovation. Rifugio Lillia has loads of charm, right in the lovely village of La Thuille. Pasquale and Lorenzo made the stay especially memorable. They were so committed to their project and to their guests, sharing thoughtful local tips and even arranging rides so we could get more out of our time there. I only wish I’d stayed longer. I loved it and really hope to come back. Thank you, Lorenzo and Pasquale!

The team were so welcoming and helpful, and their suggestions for things to see nearby were worth asking about. Breakfast was simple but lovely, with local ingredients, and our room was neat and nicely decorated. It’s a romantic little hotel in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood, just a picturesque five-minute walk from the ski slopes. We were welcomed by a cosy fire pit that led us down to the lobby beside the snug cellar restaurant. The place is very well cared for, and it made for a fantastic winter break. They’re open all year, so we might even come back for summer.

Those breakfasts were the highlight, with muesli, yoghurt, lots of homemade goodies, and enormous figs and apricots grown right there. The rooms and small apartments feel new, modern, and nicely put together.
