Ciasa Mirio'

We found most of what we needed in the apartment: a roomy bedroom, a nice bathroom and a nearly fully equipped kitchen, though a few things were missing. The place is very quiet and close to the mountains, with a 15-minute walk bringing you among trees and peaks. It's also quite isolated, with the nearest restaurant a 15-minute drive away. The photos made it seem as if every room had a great view, but that wasn't the case. Some rooms are very dark with small windows. Our terrace was just a tiny table outside the door, with no view. There is a bigger terrace upstairs, but it wasn't ours and was always full of other people. There was trash in the bathroom left from previous guests, some glasses were missing, and the coffee machine didn't work. Nobody at the apartments spoke English, so it was hard to ask for anything and we decided to skip the complaints. The owner said his wife would come by in the evening and spoke English, but no one showed up or checked whether everything was okay. :(

This place was much better than we expected. The house is beautiful, up on a hill in a quiet, secluded spot with lovely mountain views. Our apartment was warm, cozy and spotless, with new furnishings and everything well equipped. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of closet space, and the bathroom was nice. The kitchen had a cooktop, a small fridge, a dishwasher and all the things we needed to cook. I really appreciated how thoughtfully everything was arranged: enough towels, kitchen gear, dish soap, regular soap and shampoo were all there. The main room had a radiator, and the bathroom had one too along with heated floors, a nice touch. Parking in front was plentiful, and there was a ski room with heated boot racks. It's quiet inside and around the apartment. You'll need to drive or take a bus to Badia or Corvara since nothing is very close, but that was fine for us.

It was wonderfully quiet and clean, with a superb host and views to die for. Pets are welcome for a small fee. You'll need a car because it's a long walk to get there, but the road is paved and well maintained. The location worked well for the Dolomites attractions we wanted to see, all within a maximum 1-2 hour drive. The apartment was spacious and very clean, with a large bed, two sofa beds that can extend for 4-6 adults, a TV, wardrobe and a living room with a big table. The kitchen had a dishwasher, oven, stove, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, utensils, cutlery, plates and cups. There was also a shower, towels, toilet paper, washing machine, iron and clothes rack. Heating made it comfortable even in summer when nights get cold. Outside, there was a barbecue, garden furniture, a big tidy yard, a game room, an electric charger, free indoor and outdoor parking, and a huge terrace with a play area.
