The spa stays peaceful because they limit how many guests can use it, and the facilities are really nice. The architecture and grounds are stunning, and the interior is just as lovely. The food fits the setting too, with dishes that feel special and different.

The spa felt too small for what I paid, and the food experience was even more disappointing. I had emailed about being vegan and received confirmation that the hotel could accommodate me, so I expected decent options. At aperitivo, all I was offered was a plate of raw vegetables with oil. At dinner, staff seemed indifferent when I asked about vegan food and said they might be able to adapt one dish. There was no vegan dessert on the menu either. I paid 350 Euro per night, so the lack of even a basic dessert option was hard to accept. I stayed at Antonello Colonna SPA resort and came away feeling neglected. Their confirmation and what they actually provided were miles apart. I hope management takes this seriously and makes real changes so guests with dietary needs can have a more inclusive, satisfying stay.

The rooms were nice, and dinner was enjoyable. Getting there without a car is another matter: it's far from everything, and there were no taxis available. The spa was a letdown. We booked a couples massage, but my partner was only a few minutes late and they wouldn't let her join me, even though I'd already told them she was coming. The massage itself was below average, and random people walked in twice and interrupted it. Was The Menu inspired by this place?

We went for some lovely hikes in the area and walked into the little village of Labico, which was nice to visit. The hotel itself is special, with extraordinary rooms and a magnificent pool. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and we really enjoyed our stay. It's about a 40 minute drive from Rome. We stayed in June 2020 and would probably come back if we get the chance.

All the staff were so kind, and they handled our complicated food needs superbly. One of us was vegan and gluten free, another needed lactose-free and meat-free gluten-free food, and another didn't eat red meat. Everything they brought us was absolutely delicious. We loved the hotel, food and spa, and our treatments were wonderful. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏
