A nice, affordable, family-run hotel. It’s clean and has good facilities for a holiday in either high or low season: a large swimming pool, a thermal pool at 35°C, a sauna, and lots of space around them. There are about 50 rooms, and Lacco Ameno center is within walking distance. You can book a shuttle to and from Casamicciola.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the free transport runs until late at night. Bagno Franco, the nearest beach, is just a 5-minute walk away. But the biggest letdown was that the pictures on booking. com did NOT match what we found. The place looked old and run-down, not actually dirty but it looked that way, and I couldn’t use the shower. My husband wore sandals in it. The restaurant food was just okay, nothing special, and breakfast had a mix of sweet and savory things but no fruit at all. It was super cheap.

There’s a Carrefour-express supermarket about 500m away, as well as a very good pizzeria, Sale e Pepe. The place itself is very quiet and away from traffic, and a navette can take you up the hill. The large, well-kept swimmingpool, hot thermal water bath, and hydromassage bath were real pluses. There’s also a big roof terrasse, shaded around noon and with a lovely view over the port of Lacco Ameno in the evening. Breakfast was good, though some cheese would have been welcome. Enzo at reception was very helpful and spoke several languages.
