We had a lovely stay in a large room with our dog before cycling the Stelvio. The garden is big and beautiful. Dogs aren't allowed in the dining room. Highly recommend, and thanks for a great stay.

It's a friendly, accommodating family-run place, with large, clean rooms that have balconies. The outdoor area, pool included, is lovely and very well kept. Dinner brings a generous salad buffet and a very good four-course menu, and breakfast is plentiful and good. I paid €85 for an overnight stay with breakfast in a double room for single occupancy. Dinner was €30 and well worth it. Highly recommended, and I'd gladly come back.

The family who own Hotel Montani put real care into looking after their guests. Breakfast has everything you could want, and dinner is excellent, with high-quality traditional South Tyrolean food. The rooms are in great condition, and there are indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and a steam room. Morter is a great base between Lake Reschen and Merano. Merano is about a 30-minute drive away and easy to reach by public transport; the Martell Valley is nearby, as are Schnalstal and Juval Castle. Staying here is always a pleasure when I visit South Tyrol. A truly fantastic hotel, 101% recommended!
