Villa Regina Teodolinda

Beatrice made organizing our wedding from abroad easy and stress free. She handled every little request warmly and calmly, paid close attention to the details, and did more than she had to. We felt completely looked after and trusted her, and she delivered beyond words. The villa itself felt like a fairytale, with elegant interiors and beautiful lakefront views. Our dream wedding there exceeded every expectation. Guests are still talking about the atmosphere, the food, the setting, and the wonderful staff. This place is magic for a destination wedding or special event on Lake Como, and Beatrice is a big part of why everything worked so flawlessly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We'll never forget it.

The villa has a dreamy, romantic look from outside, and the interior style fits that charm. Parking was convenient, too. Inside, though, the rooms and shared spaces were very dated and the whole place needs a full renovation. There was mold in the bathroom, on the walls, and around the windows. Some furniture and the window blinds were literally falling apart. The staff weren't polite, and we didn't feel welcome. Given the interior's poor condition, I was genuinely surprised it's used as a wedding venue.

It isn't a very large venue, but there's enough room for a small group. I photographed an elopement at Villa Regina Teodolinda and was struck by the historic interiors, lush garden, private dock, and beautiful lakefront views. There are lovely photo opportunities everywhere, and the villa creates an intimate, fairytale atmosphere. It's a romantic, elegant setting for a destination wedding on Lake Como, and I'd be thrilled to return to photograph more love stories there. Julia Löffler

The people were great, though parking was a bit difficult. I was told that's just how parking is throughout the area, a cultural difference, I guess. As an American, I'm used to having plenty of spaces. There was no TV, no refrigerator in the room, and no desk, just a place to sleep.
