That mountain view from the garden was lovely, especially in the evening with a glass of wine by the pool. We spent a week at Pension Mohrenfeld in May, and it all felt just right. The rooms were nice, had what we needed, and were very clean and well cared for. The Thöni family made us feel welcome the whole time. We’d happily return.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and breakfast had both sweet and savory choices. Our room was simple, but very clean, with a little balcony looking over the valley. Up in the mountains, the place is welcoming and well kept, and there’s a pool and lawn for relaxing in summer. It’s a handy base for the Venosta Valley, and you can also spend an evening in Trento or Bolzano. We’ll be back!

The rooms are roomy, and there’s a portable air conditioner available even though the rooms don’t have built-in AC. A good place for a stop, or for a few nights.

Breakfast has a nice range of things, and we enjoyed eating in the garden by the pool. The owners were great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. This charming B&B is in a very quiet part of Merano while still being close to the center. They apparently also offer cooking services. Worth considering.
