The views across the Tuscan hills were the real highlight, and the home itself was charming and beautiful. Alessandra welcomed us with a bottle of wine, a thoughtful start to a stay that felt peaceful and special throughout. Even before that, a friendly local had made us feel welcome while we were walking around the streets. The hospitality was fantastic, and the whole visit was magical. We'd return in a heartbeat.

We spent six days at Casa di Alice nel Borgo, and it was the best part of our three-week trip around Italy. The garden views were spectacular, and Alessandra made sure we had what we needed to feel at home, including comfortable beds, oils, spices, coffee and tea for quiet meals in. She also took us to the town square and suggested dinner reservations and takeaway spots. The little Tuscan hamlet of Lajatico is full of art, history and Italian culture, with Peccolli, Volterra and Pisa nearby. Alessandra even arranged a small group hike with Mauricio de Curtis, a guide from a neighboring town. We walked roughly 8 kms, saw the original spot where local women gathered to bathe or wash clothes, heard about local cheese, Etruscan artifacts and mines, and learned about olive and grape farming. We also walked through Andrea Bocelli’s gift to his birthplace, “teatro di silenzio,” and heard about other places we might visit. At a small outdoor bar, local people welcomed us as everyone gathered to watch the European Football⚽️. Thank you, Alessandra 🤗

Alessandra was easy to reach, very kind, and proactive about sharing information on nearby activities and places. Casa di Alice nel Borgo is a clean, lovely house in an authentic style, with a beautiful view. Lajatico is a picturesque little village, with good restaurants nearby and plenty to see in the area.

We stayed for a month and worked online remotely, and the Wi-Fi was very good. Casa Alice was spotless, and the photos matched the place accurately. Lajatico is a lovely, welcoming village with the amenities we needed, and the community felt lively, friendly and helpful. Alessandra was such a lovely host, always responsive and helpful, and went out of her way for us. We were sad to leave and would return. Thank you, Alessandra, for making the stay so pleasant.

Laura was friendly and made me feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and cosy, with restaurants and mini markets nearby. For a meal with an amazing view, Teatro del Silenzio Anteprima Delsilenzio was the best spot. I had a great time.
