The service was great, the prices were good, and we were well looked after during our stay at Al Tajol. Grazie!

A great rifugio with a meal and a beer waiting for you after a hike. It's also the starting point for the Monte Coppolo via ferrata.

The road up is narrow and winding, so getting there can be a bit of a hassle. Once there, though, the setting is one of the area's most beautiful, and the Ostello has excellent internet and mobile reception outdoors, enough to unplug and enjoy the surroundings. It feels like a family hostel where you're welcomed as one of their own. The food at the Ostello restaurant is superb, and the bar 80 meters away is good too.

The setting is stunning, surrounded by nature and well away from the crowds, perhaps too remote for some. It's a simple family-run hotel, and the food is home-cooked and unpretentious, though adequate. If you're bringing a dog, keep in mind that the owners' dog roams freely. He's friendly with people, but not with every other dog, which can make things uncomfortable. During high season, it would be better for the owners to keep their dog separate so guests with pets can have a more peaceful stay.
