We were given a very warm welcome. The B&B is central and really convenient, but still peaceful. The rooms are very clean, with daily cleaning, and breakfast is generous, including homemade cakes from the owner. It has a family feel, and the owner is happy to offer information and useful advice. Thanks for everything.

The location was ideal, but there were quite a few downsides. The owner hadn't told us beforehand that our room had no bidet. We later found out it was the only room without one, yet we paid the same as the others. Breakfast also cost extra, €5 per person, though this was a B&B and we hadn't known about the charge. The owner apologized afterward and said she would have offered it herself, but by then we'd already made our arrangements. The wardrobes were so high you need to be at least 1.90 meters tall to get the hangers down and hang things up 😂😂😂, so make a plan if you're thinking of staying. We were guests last week.

The garden barbecue couldn't be used because of engine paint and other unwanted items. Stray cats were around the garden, even though we had been told the veranda was private. We found their hair everywhere and couldn't leave anything on the table. We had to throw away a €50 hair, not realizing the cats would urinate on it. Their droppings were there every morning and only cleaned up hours later. There were cockroaches in the garden, in the bedroom from the first day, and eventually in every room. Cleaning was poor: the bed linen was never changed, and the towels were changed only once during our 10-day stay, despite being promised weekly linen changes and fresh towels every 3 days. Sorry to write this, especially because Mariangela's father is infinitely kind. Be careful if you're offered an apartment for 2 people. This was a terrible experience, the first time I've ever written a review like this.

We didn't meet the owner since she was away on business, but she was reachable by phone and helped us with advice about car rentals and places to eat. Breakfast wasn't provided, though there's a very good café and pastry shop nearby with lots of choices. The room was excellent, very clean, and right in the city center. We stayed for three days, and our dog was welcome. We plan to return. One tip we'd heard: if you arrive by high-speed hydrofoil from Porto Empedocle, leave a few days for the return trip, since bad weather can sometimes stop the hydrofoil. Apart from that, everything was perfect.
