Residence Villa Dacla

I had a week I won't forget. The apartment was spacious and very clean, and the owners were lovely, helpful, and attentive. Getting there was easy, and the beach is close by.

Our studio was comfortable, in a handy spot near some of the island's most beautiful beaches, and the service was excellent. The staff did far more than we expected to make our stay go smoothly. In Sicily, they might call that "cocciu d'amuri". A big thank you to Tessy and Emanuele, wonderful people who became our guides from the start and left us with a piece of our hearts. They took care of everything, from airport transfers both ways to arranging a scooter or car, boat trips, and suggestions for local food. It made for a worry-free holiday, and we'd highly recommend staying here.

We had a pleasant stay all round and would definitely come back. The apartment was comfortable, spotless, and well looked after, with a fully equipped kitchen, TV, and effective air conditioning. It's only a few steps from the sea, in a quiet, convenient spot for getting around the island. The staff were so kind, attentive, and always available. They welcomed us warmly and let us leave our luggage at reception as soon as we arrived. There was also a large bottle of still water and one of sparkling water waiting for us.

The beachfront location was a plus, and Emanuele tried to step in when Tessy treated us badly. The Lampedusans we met were warm and welcoming, which made the lack of that same spirit from our host all the more disappointing. There were ants in the old house, the bathroom was run-down, and the basics were missing. There was no tablecloth, and just three old forks that had barely been used. We had requested a barbecue and been told it was confirmed, but it wasn't there when we arrived. Tessy was rude, never greeted us, showed no courtesy, and wasn't available to help. The car rental arrangements were another problem. Only one car was returned late, while the other never arrived. Instead of refunding us, they asked for an extra €50. On checkout day, our bags were left unattended in the garden, and nobody even said goodbye. A disastrous stay. I strongly recommend avoiding this property.
