Residence Il Faro

The little houses have well-equipped patios, and we found the location good and the setting quiet. Staff were quick to help and sort out any problems or inconveniences. A positive stay.

We stayed in July 23, and I gave it five stars. The mini apartment is basic, not five-star, but it has what you need for a simple, relaxing holiday. There’s a little patio out front, and inside you'll find a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee maker, cutlery, and the like. A Coop supermarket nearby makes it easy to get groceries. Everyone can use the small pizza oven and barbecue, handy for grilling locally bought fish or meat. I had one air conditioner in the house, but it was enough for the whole apartment. The location is excellent, in the lighthouse area near some beautiful coves. The owner also rents scooters at competitive prices. I recommend a boat trip to reach parts of the island that are otherwise inaccessible.

The apartment was a real letdown: dirty throughout with dust everywhere, a leaking fridge, and one air conditioner for the whole place that didn't cool at all. The barbecue was filthy and in terrible shape, so we couldn't use it. We also rented cars from the same owner, and they were extremely dirty and malfunctioning. On departure day I called the owner several times and got no answer. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Never again.

We were 12 friends staying for four days across three apartments. Each was supposed to have two double bedrooms, but really it was one double bedroom and a closet. The apartments were very dirty, with ants everywhere, dust, and filthy bathrooms, and the residence itself was full of garbage. We had to wash with salt water and couldn't even enjoy a shower. The owners were rude, disrespectful, and embarrassing, and entered our apartments while we were away without permission. I disliked everything and strongly advise people to go elsewhere. We also rented cars from them. Every one was more battered than the last. Avoid them!
