Villa Grazia

The owners were kind and helpful, and I’m very grateful to Mrs. Grazia for her impeccable courtesy. I’m sorry, but people have different needs and expectations. For us, the location was inconvenient for the center and the better-known beaches without a scooter. Cala Pisana was nearest, but not one of the prettiest. The setting itself was lovely, quiet, and well kept, though I think it suits older guests or families seeking total silence better than young people. We were unlucky that personal issues kept the owners from arranging events or excursions during our week. Our small studio had no table in the kitchenette and barely enough dishes; we found ants in the kitchen, so we always ate outside. There’s no sea view, just a view of the succulent garden. You really need a scooter or rental car, since you’re far from everything even though the island is small. Lampedusa is wonderful, except restaurant prices are insane.

The family running Grazia's Residence were helpful when we had connection problems during the week, reassuring us and offering assistance. The quiet was a real plus for me compared with the bustle of the town center, even though the residence isn’t especially close to the sea. Nearby coves are about five minutes away by scooter or car, and the larger beaches take around ten minutes. The apartments suit couples or families, and ours was carefully furnished and clean. The kitchenette was very basic, though. We had to improvise at times, and a potholder, placemats, and a few more pieces of cutlery would have helped. We were often out anyway, and it’s true you can adapt. This was our first visit to Lampedusa, arranged through the travel agency that booked us, and it turned into a lovely experience. It’s family-run, and alongside Grazia we met her mother and father. Her father Giovanni also takes people on daily boat tours, which let us see the island more fully and reach coves that are hard to get to on foot. It was a pleasure talking with someone who knows the island, its waters, and its secrets. We tried to make the most of our stay.

I’ve been returning to Residence Villa Grazia for years. I love the peaceful, home-away-from-home feeling, and the spot between Cala Creta and the center of the island is ideal. The terraced houses sit in a well-kept Mediterranean garden and have furnished verandas, their own kitchens, and the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The family who owns it are warm and attentive from the moment you arrive, and make you feel cared for. Airport or port transfers, a solarium, free Wi-Fi, and help with excursions or rentals make it easy to plan your days. It’s a lovely place to enjoy Lampedusa’s slower, authentic side, among flowers, garden downtime, and sea breezes. I feel at home here, among family.

Giovanni and Francesco’s Defino Blu boat trip was spectacular, and the local food was excellent. Thank you so much ❤️ My husband and I stayed during the last week of August, and the clean, welcoming residence and hospitable family made us feel at home and pampered. We really enjoyed our stay.
