The location near Lana’s center is really handy, and there are good restaurants and things to do close by. We’ve stayed here three times now and always enjoy coming back. It isn’t cheap, but I think it’s worth it. There’s free parking, even with charging for electric cars, and bikes to rent. The rooms are spacious and lovely, with balconies, and the small spa is nice. Breakfast has an excellent choice too.

I’m absolutely furious. I booked online and arranged a late check-in after the two-hour drive from Verona airport, but when I got there the hotel was locked up and dark. For an hour I tried everything to get someone’s attention: the buzzers at the hotel and attached family house, knocking, calling out, and phoning. I was even thinking I might have to sleep in my car. There were lights on at first, then they were turned off, which made it seem like they’d decided to leave me stranded. Nobody answered or came to let me in. At 4am, yes, 4am, I was driving around Lana trying desperately to find somewhere to stay. I took photos and video so they couldn’t deny what happened. It’s the worst experience I’ve had travelling in Europe, and I was exhausted and so angry.
