We left with only good memories and would gladly return. The views were breathtaking, the air so fresh, and the surrounding nature hard to describe. A daytime bus also makes it easy to get around different parts of Lake Como, and for what we paid, this place was fantastic value compared with other options. The owner and staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and really tried to make us feel welcome. On our first night, there were no taxis available, so the owner came to pick us up with Angela from reception. We appreciated that above-and-beyond gesture. The next day we were upgraded to a room with an amazing view, which made our stay even more special. Highly recommended!

The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, and the view was stunning. There are great restaurants nearby with affordable prices. I’d have given five stars if the bathroom had a shower instead of a bathtub and the hairdryer had been better quality.

The lake view from our room was awesome, and the room itself was comfortable and clean. We had a short stay in early September, and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant food was delicious too. The drive up to the hotel can be a little tricky for a novice driver, so I’d recommend taking the alternative routes suggested by the hotel.

We were unsure after seeing the mixed reviews, but ended up loving our stay. The staff were so nice, breakfast was great, and we slept better than we had in ages. There's no AC, though the nights up there are usually cool, and the fresh air outside plus the fan worked really well for us. We'd definitely come back.

After a long, tough drive, we arrived hoping for a private, romantic stay with my girlfriend. We’d paid €170 for a “lake view” room and asked for an upper-floor room; they said they’d do their best. Instead, ours was on the first floor, right in front of the restaurant. People could see us even from the bed, and we heard every conversation from about 3 meters away. The balcony was unusable, and the room completely spoiled our evening. For a better view at no cost, Balcone d’Italia is only 7 minutes away.
