We were working at the MIDA fair and had told them we’d arrive late, but they refused to check us in when we were only 10 minutes behind. The owner even switched off our phone. We got no refund, not even part of the payment, apart from the €3 tourist tax. There was also a threat of an extra “late check-in” fee, though that never happened. Disgraceful treatment. We were working, not out drinking spritzes in Florence! If she needed €100, she could have asked. I’d have gladly given it to her. Change jobs. Replying to your comment: the fair finishes at 8:00 PM, but taking down the stand takes over an hour, and we politely asked you to wait. We still have all the messages, nothing has been deleted. I’m not making up a false review. What I wrote is simply the truth. Your response to customers says a lot. I’ll leave it there, since there’s no point carrying on. Best regards, dear.

The owners were always available and ready to help, and the nearby train station made it easy to get to Florence and the surrounding area. I only stayed one night, which was a pity because the place is enchanting. Thanks for your hospitality.

I can’t recommend this place. The photos often show a swimming pool, but it’s currently closed, and she only told me after I’d booked. The closure is mentioned in tiny print in the general conditions and information section, not made clear up front. If you book a rental for the pool and then find out it’s unavailable, listing it as an amenity on Booking just causes confusion. People aren’t going to look through all the secondary information. Luckily our card payment didn’t go through, or cancelling would have cost us the full room price. The person’s messages were audacious, and she never questioned her own part in it. We didn’t end up going, thankfully. The comments below don’t surprise me. Warning, expect a very bad reception.

The pool was available, and the atmosphere was excellent. I had a wonderful stay, and the staff were really kind and helpful.
