The dogs were just as sweet and welcoming as Roberto, and he’s a wonderful host. He greeted us so warmly, was thoughtful, and had plenty of useful ideas for exploring the region, from visiting matera and finding somewhere to eat to things to do and nearby beaches. His tip for the best foccacia with a view was a real treat. Sierro Le Greco is charming and welcoming too. We’d recommend it wholeheartedly.

The children especially loved the adventure park. We visited as part of an educational project with a summer group, and the welcome included Laterza bread to decorate with yogurt and food coloring. The food was good, with some of the kids going back for seconds and thirds. I particularly liked the orecchiette with tomato sauce. It’s a relaxing, rustic place with a natural feel, and the staff are friendly.

The owners are so friendly, and this is a beautiful place to stay. Breakfast by itself makes the trip worthwhile.

We had a lovely evening and the food was excellent. Mr. Roberto, the host, is always welcoming and professional, and roast suckling pig is his specialty.

The farm animals were all so sweet, from the pig and donkey to the cats and dogs. We spent two nights here and really enjoyed both the agriturismo and the surrounding area. Roberto, the owner, cooked delicious local food for breakfast and dinner and shared excellent suggestions for nearby sights. The rooms were spotless and excellent. Highly recommended.
