We loved how friendly and helpful everyone was, and the food was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, with thoughtful, interesting art on the walls. It’s a beautifully run hotel in a peaceful, picturesque setting. I’m so glad I found Sopra il Limoneto. If I make it back to the Amalfi Coast, I’ll escape the crowds and spend another night in this oasis.

The pool is a decent size, and there are enough parking spots. Rooms are big and clean, and the property is well maintained, with an amazing sea view. Breakfast is well organized, though it’s only sweets, the usual Italian breakfast. One thing to know: driving up to the property takes confidence.

Waking up to all that blue and green is something we’ll never forget. This place feels magical, with a level of tranquillity that filled our eyes and hearts. Every little touch in the room, dining room, and outside is beautiful, like a real artist thought it all through. Nicola was welcoming and kind, and he and his team took care of everything perfectly. I really hope to visit again. Stay there, and thank me later. 10/10.

We loved our stay. It’s a charming hotel among the lemon trees, with a great breakfast, comfortable beds, and very clean rooms.

The views from the private balconies are incredible, and you get them all around the property. The rooms are new, spacious, and open plan, with immaculate modern bathrooms, great air conditioning, and period furnishings. We loved staying there. The above-ground pool was a delight in the hot weather, with views that put even horizon pools to shame. The breakfast is an adequate buffet, not amazing, though the croissants were good. Free WiFi got patchy in the afternoons, which is the one minor downside. A lot of the discussion seems to be about access, so for context: we had a small Renault Clio with 180,000 kms on it and had absolutely no problem getting there. Google Maps worked well. From the main Amalfi “corniche” road, you take the only secondary coastal road, which locals call the “high” road. It’s used during maintenance or landslips, and local traffic uses it regularly. Some short stretches are one lane, so you might have to reverse if you’re unlucky, with downhill traffic and larger vehicles having priority. It’s about 2-3 kms to the entrance. There are some rough surfaces and small potholes, but that’s common around Italy. You park about 50m inside the gate on a flat gravel landing, not in a paved, covered garage. From there it’s about 30m up a paved driveway to the accommodation. The farmhand can bring a van down for your luggage if needed. This is the Amalfi Coast, so it’s steep and precipitous almost everywhere, and wherever you stay you’ll likely have uphill walking or stairs. We didn’t find the access daunting or dangerous, and knew this was a small agriturismo, not a 4 star resort. The owners speak good English. They’re often working elsewhere and may not be around until morning or late afternoon, but you can reach them easily by mobile. The Sri Lankan farmhand who tends the lemon plantation also manages the site. He speaks little English but fluent Italian, so a translator app helps. He’s friendly and easy to find by calling out near his cabin beside the accommodation, even if he’s in the orchard, or you can call his mobile. I’m not sure why some reviewers had so much trouble.
