Breakfast was the real highlight, with Maria bringing out homemade brioches, donuts, biscuits (the best), jam, tarts, and local treats each morning. There were savory bakes too, with the smell of focaccia in the air, so breakfast could easily replace lunch. The owners also made us feel at home right away, with a warm Southern Italian welcome and lots of helpful advice about local sights, shopping, and food. We stayed at the masseria for a week over the Ferragosto holiday, and the room was cool, quiet, clean, charming, and well equipped, including a hairdryer, TV, shower gel, shampoo, and air conditioning. The property and its surroundings capture the beauty of the area. We never expected to feel at home in Romagna while in Puglia. Five stars, though we’d give it 20 if we could!

A magical woodland, an old masseria, and wonderful hosts. A place to restore both body and soul. Highly recommended!
