We were on a road trip around Europe when my husband was rushed to a hospital near this hotel. This wasn’t our destination, and late in the evening I suddenly had to find somewhere for myself, our child and our dog. We’d gotten food poisoning in another country we’d visited earlier, and I started feeling very sick too. The receptionist gave us a double room, even though it was late, he was alone and already busy. He stayed calm and friendly. The hotel is pet friendly, and when I went to the desk for help, he did everything he could and called an ambulance for me. He told me not to worry and that they’d look after our dog. We spent the night at the hospital with our child. When we got back in the morning, the hotel staff had cared for our dog all night and welcomed us back. We were able to rest in the room for a few hours and get some energy back. Without their kindness, we wouldn’t have known what to do. We’ll never forget everything the staff did for us. Thank you so much. I recommend this hotel and its staff to everyone.

The bathroom was great, and the shower was decent. The air outside was sweet, but the room smelled stale. We got an old sheet when we asked for a blanket, and the beds were uncomfortable. The dining staff were impolite.

The rooms were okay, but breakfast was awful. The first day we didn’t get the better option, and the next day they only gave us more ham. It was disgusting, with no bread. Other people got something better, while our school group got this. Horrible.

I’m here for a month for work, and after many years in the industry and a lot of hotel stays, I’ve got no regrets. I hold FBII membership in the UK, and this place ticks all the boxes I need. Reviews are personal, but I’d definitely come back when work brings me back here. The bathroom is dated but quirky and practical, and it had the best shower I’ve had in a hotel anywhere. The food was delicious. I had Rabbit, which not many places offer. Staff were very attentive, and I’d totally recommend the hotel.

The service was fine and the location is pretty good. The room, though, was awful: broken outlets and a bathroom door that drifts and won’t lock.
