Andrea, our host, looked after us like family. He speaks English, German, and Italian, and perhaps even more, so language barriers needn't be a worry. The location is a great base for short walks or longer hikes and for exploring the nearby valleys and mountains. We spent three nights here. The room was incredible, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and had a view of the lake. The firm mattress was wonderful, and we slept like babies. Breakfast and dinner were great too. Highly recommended!

We only stayed one night while cycling through the Dolomites, but this was one of the nicest hotels on our trip. Andrea was friendly and very helpful. Dinner was outstanding, with delicious local produce, sensible portions, and the best apple strudel we had on the trip. The rooms were nicely furnished with subtle touches of quality.

The location is stunning, but quite a few things about the hotel didn't work for us. The reception had an awful damp, moldy smell, and the restaurant had the same unpleasant smell. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, so I was glad there were other places to eat nearby. The room was very clean, but dated, and the bed was hard as a rock. Breakfast was okay. The hostess looked absolutely terrified and wasn't very friendly.
