The apartments are in a carefully renovated, well-kept early 20th-century building, and mine had all the everyday essentials and was impeccably clean. Parking in the courtyard below was very convenient. Although it's right in the heart of Laveno, the property is tucked away from the bustle, with a glimpse of the lake. Shops, a supermarket, the waterfront, FNM train station, and ferry terminal are just steps away. Trains to and from Milan's Piazza Cadorna are frequent and easy to use. I highly recommend it for a weekend, a short lake holiday, or a longer stay like mine. It's also a good base for trips to the Piedmont side and nearby Switzerland.

This is a well-kept early 20th-century building with parking and lake views, and the apartments have been recently renovated in a simple, tasteful way. Their style reflects the owners' cultural background and cosmopolitan outlook. The central location is close to shops, a supermarket, the waterfront, the train station, and ferry terminal, but away from holiday and weekend tourist traffic. You can get to Milan or nearby Piedmont without a car. For a weekend or short break by the lake, it's an ideal choice. A sailing boat with a skipper can also be rented on request for trips to the Piedmont coast and nearby Switzerland.

The owner was genuinely courteous and helpful, and the comfortable apartments were spotless. "La casa sul porto" in Laveno is a quiet, excellent place to stay and a great base for exploring the area.

We had a very good stay in a comfortable, very clean apartment with a great location. Everything is close by, and we'd recommend the funicular, just a five-minute walk away. A walk on the lake with an accordion aperitif was a lovely extra. Thanks for the warm welcome.

The location was fantastic, and even with a car, which had included parking, we could reach everything on foot. We had an unforgettable holiday and felt very comfortable here. The apartment was spacious and tastefully furnished, with a new bathroom and everything very clean. The landlady was lovely. Highly recommended!
