Agriturismo Cobei

The vineyard setting made it wonderfully quiet, with a lovely view across the valley toward Trento/St. Michael an der Adige. Our room was clean and cozy, and breakfast with homemade treats was included. The hosts were so friendly.

The wine is excellent, and Ivano tells its story in such an engaging way. We also loved the carefully prepared tasting and breakfast. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well looked after. This was our second visit to the agriturismo, and we had a great time again. We were made to feel like friends instead of customers. Congratulations to all the Cobelli brothers and everyone who worked with such care in the kitchen.

The wine tasting was the real highlight. These are wines they make themselves, served with Trentino dishes cooked on the spot. I lost track of how many bottles we opened, maybe 6, 7, 8? Devis and Ivano were warm and welcoming, and clearly know their food and wine. The dumplings and gnocchi were especially good, along with all that white wine and Teroldego. The servings were so generous that smaller portions might have helped us sleep better, but the food was too good to leave behind. We had a lovely stay in spacious, quiet, clean rooms, and ours had a spectacular view of the Adige Valley. A few extras would have been handy: another chair, more closet hangers, a small table, and hooks in the bathroom. I'd definitely recommend booking a tasting, and staying over if you can. The guys also know some mountain bike trails for enthusiasts.

The owners explain their products with real knowledge and attention to detail, without making it feel boring. The wine was fine, especially the Sorni Bianco and Schiava, and the Traminer was a nice surprise. The restaurant is small and welcoming, with the feel of eating at home. My stay was short, but very pleasant and delicious. The rooms are tastefully furnished, with a modern touch that still nods to tradition, and having them above the restaurant means you don't have to drive after dinner and risk losing points on your license. The farmhouse sits in the foothills and is home to the largest producer of quality wines. For €50, with a generous breakfast of traditional Trentino products, plus dinner and a wine tasting for €20-25, I thought it was great value. Congratulations to the Cobelli family.
