The terrace looks out over the lake, and I can’t wait to come back. Dal Castello family really looks after the whole place, from the rooms to the restaurants. The food feels genuine and is still excellent, with a fantastic selection of local wines to go with it. A little gem in Cola’!

We stayed three nights, about 10 minutes from Gardaland and 10 minutes from Lazis town, and would come back. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast was basic: croissants, fruit salad, bread, preserves, yogurt, cereal, plus some salami and cheese. Eggs would be a nice addition. We didn’t have dinner here, though the evening atmosphere looked absolutely magical, and many reviews said the dinner is great.

We ended up at Hotel Modena completely by chance after we missed the bus and it was too late to get to the next town with a train station. Luckily, they still had a room for two. We had nothing with us except cards and passports, and the man at reception was so friendly and accommodating, even lending us a phone charger. We really admired him, and the lady who served breakfast too. We felt right at home.

Dinner was fantastic, with beautifully prepared food and really friendly service. The restaurant’s outdoor terrace is perfect for a summer meal. The room was basic but clean, with nice air conditioning, a very comfortable bed, and a small, clean, functional bathroom. Breakfast was good, and the staff were super friendly. Great place.
