A great place to stay in Lece, with a lovely Italian breakfast!

The location is very central and convenient, and I definitely plan to come back as soon as I can. Mrs. Monia clearly puts a lot of passion into running this B&B, and you can see it in the details. It's tidy, practical and very clean, with friendly and helpful service. Congratulations.

The breakfast was pretty meagre: at 8:30, there was a basket with two packaged biscuits, Nutella, jam, butter and sugar packets, all counted out. The owner then brought us two cappuccinos and a little plate with two pasticciotti, one each. We also found the room tiny, with only a double bed, wardrobe, chair, small wall-mounted TV and air conditioning. There was barely space for our suitcases and bags. At least it had a window with shutters and a balcony, as the B&B is on the fifth floor of a building. But the biggest problem was the bathroom. Our "private" bathroom was outside the room, beside another room. We had to leave and lock our room, use the bathroom, lock that door, then go back. We were the only guests with this arrangement, as the other rooms had ordinary en-suite bathrooms. We had to remember everything we needed and couldn't step into the hallway in a bathrobe or without clothes, since other guests might be there. It was uncomfortable and unusual, and the owner never mentioned it when I phoned to book. She only said a room was available for our dates. If we'd known, we wouldn't have booked. We stayed only because there were no other rooms or hotels available for those dates. The positive reviews we'd read beforehand made this all the more disappointing. I urge the owner to explain the setup honestly in future, and anyone booking should check that they're getting a normal room. We feel we were misled, and the place wasn't worth what we paid. Never again.
