Everything was clean, including lots of fluffy towels, and the apartment had all the equipment we needed, from the kitchen to entertainment. It's a lovely ground-floor place, secure and fairly quiet. The directions were clear and it was easy to find, and the host communicated well by phone or WhatsApp. Can't fault it.

The apartment looked good on paper, but reality was very different. It was dirty when we arrived, and the owner awkwardly blamed the cleaner on duty for not doing the job properly. The bathroom was old, even though the apartment is a generous 44 square meters, and the layout doesn't work well for four people. The fridge was broken. After we'd paid nearly €150 a night, the owner threatened to charge extra if we used too much electricity over the four days. Breakfast was very poor for what we paid: butter and sugar were missing, as were jams that were past their expiry date. In short, stay away.

The mini-apartment was recently renovated, clean, and well looked after, and the owner was friendly and helpful. It's just inside the ZTL, and reaching it from Porta Napoli took about three minutes on foot. There's plenty of parking nearby. I'd definitely stay here again.

The apartment is central and nicely equipped, and the place itself is nice. The host is kind. Breakfast, cleanliness, and the musty smell could all be better. In a city like Lecce, these things need to improve.
