Bed & Breakfast Le Comari Salentine

AVOID!!!!! I had a terrible experience with this B&B. I knew I couldn't cancel within 14 days of my stay, but a few days before leaving, a serious family issue meant I had to get in touch through the phone number Booking.com had provided. The woman I spoke with told me not to worry and said there'd be no problem. She only needed to find a way to contact the manager because the booking had been made through Booking.com. I also called Booking's toll-free number, and they said they'd email the property to request approval for a cancellation. I stayed put instead of giving the reservation to a friend, confident I wouldn't lose the money. In the end, the full booking amount was charged. When I called the first woman back, she said she hadn't worked there for a while but could give me another woman's number. That woman apologized for the misunderstanding and said they'd try to sort it out through Booking.com. Booking's customer service again confirmed a refund might be possible if the property agreed. I called the manager once more, and she said the decision wasn't hers. I lost the money on a stay I could have shared with a friend, scammed by "a company."

Mrs. Sonia made sure we felt welcome and was very kind and helpful. The studio has a double bed, a queen-size bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom. It's close to both the center and Lecce Central Station, which makes it convenient. I highly recommend it for stays of three days or longer, especially for families or friends.

Bartolomeo and his staff gave us such a warm, impeccable welcome. Le Comari Salentine is in a handy spot near the train station, just outside the restricted traffic zone, with free parking close by. A short walk down the street takes you into the heart of beautiful Lecce. The apartments are spacious, clean, bright and colorful. We'll definitely come back!

We had a calm, comfortable stay, even with our 8-month-old baby. The host was very kind, breakfast was excellent, and we had plenty of independence. There's lots of parking by the entrance. The place is child-friendly and very clean, just 100 meters from the historic center and 500 meters from the train station. Lecce is beautiful, and being so close to its history is comfortable and convenient. I highly recommend it. Thank you.
